I love Coors Field and have always had positive experiences there, for baseball. The show itself was fantastic. The Pretenders were the opening act for this show, and I would like to rate their performance, but I really can't, because I only heard 3 songs because getting into Coors Field for a concert makes going through security during peak time at DIA seem like a blink and you'll miss it flash. Getting into the ballpark for a concert is an absolute NIGHTMARE. But that's the catch. Getting into the stadium for this show was less insane than it was for the Jimmy Buffet/Eagles show, but it was still ridiculous. When you know for months that 40,000+ people will be coming to your venue for an event, maybe have the staffing needed to have all gates open and admitting fans. I mean we can't buy $7 fountain sodas and $10 hamburgers standing in the middle of Blake Street. It would make sense to get us inside right? I'd give Journey 5 Stars and Blaze Ya Dead Homie 4 and a half. And my two concert experiences were positive also, once I was inside the ballpark. I would dearly love to give this more stars. Anyway, go see Journey and Blaze Ya Dead Homie if you can, and come cheer on the Rockies at Coors Field. But if you are coming for a concert at Coors, get there EARLY!
